I am a scientific illustrator and ecologist with a strong focus on nature conservation and science communication.

Through my illustrations, I translate complex ecological processes into clear, engaging visuals, making science accessible to a broad audience. Growing up close to nature and spending over a decade studying species across Europe (with youth nature organization JNM) gave me a strong foundation in field biology, which I deepened during my BSc in Biology at the University of Amsterdam.
I later completed a Master in Scientific Illustration at ZUYD Maastricht, where I specialized in visual storytelling and audience-focused communication, combining scientific accuracy with strong narrative design.

For the last years I have worked fulltime as scientific illustrator, making infographics, painting landscapes and species for a wide ranges of clients.  Some of my publications can be found here.
